1. Agreement
By creating an account, organizing a group buy, or placing an order on BuyFoodTogether, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What BuyFoodTogether is
BuyFoodTogether is a platform that lets organizers gather orders from their community for a shared purchase of local food. We provide the tools to run a group buy; organizers are responsible for sourcing, fulfilling, and arranging pickup of the food they list.
3. Organizer responsibilities
If you run a group buy, you are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, fulfilling orders you accept, honouring stated pickup details and deadlines, complying with all applicable food-handling and tax laws, and resolving issues with your buyers. You confirm you are able to supply the items you list.
4. Buyer responsibilities
When you reserve or order items, you agree to pick them up as arranged and to pay any amounts due once payments are enabled. Group buys with a goal only charge buyers once the goal is reached.
5. Payments
Online payments are being rolled out. When enabled, card payments are processed by our payment provider; BuyFoodTogether does not store full card details. Fees, payouts, and refund handling will be described here before payments go live.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Organizers may cancel a group buy before fulfilment. Where money has been collected, refunds are handled according to the policy in effect at the time of the order. This section will be expanded when payments launch.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use BuyFoodTogether to sell unsafe, illegal, or misrepresented goods, to defraud buyers, or to abuse, spam, or harm other users. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is." BuyFoodTogether is not a party to the transaction between organizers and buyers and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
